Job Details

Roberts Wesleyan College, located in Rochester, NY, is accepting applications for a 9-month, full-time Faculty Position in Computer Science beginning July 1, 2018, subject to final budget approval.  This position will be instrumental in redesigning the computer science curriculum.  This faculty member will also teach courses across the CS discipline to both CS majors and students from other disciplines.  RWC seeks to integrate CS into the variety of majors taught, so the successful candidate will have a passion for applying CS in a variety of disciplines. The RWC CS department has strong partnerships with the sciences, business, and criminal justice; and is seeking to build additional partnerships with other disciplines at the college. 

Requirements

Required qualifications include a master’s degree in computer science, preferably with expertise and/or experience in cybersecurity, computational science, or data analytics; a strong commitment to the integration of Christian faith and learning; and a willingness to support and identify with the College’s Christian mission and identity.  A doctoral degree with experience in undergraduate teaching is preferred.  Rank is open; depending upon qualifications, a tenure-track appointment is possible.
